The Titans are coming—this time, in live-action.
Netflix has just unveiled the official teaser trailer for its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan: The Movie (2025), with Tom Holland taking on the lead role as Eren Yeager. The trailer offers a haunting glimpse into a world overrun by towering, man-eating giants—and the desperate humanity left to fight them.
Directed by Gareth Evans (The Raid, Gangs of London), the film promises visceral action, emotional stakes, and a grittier take on the beloved anime/manga franchise by Hajime Isayama. The teaser features bleak landscapes, steam-filled alleyways, and a powerful final shot: Eren transforming in midair as a Colossal Titan looms in the distance.
Tom Holland appears in a darker, more brooding role than fans are used to, delivering the line: “If we’re caged like cattle… then let’s become monsters.”
Also starring Florence Pugh as Mikasa Ackerman, Dacre Montgomery as Jean Kirstein, and Ken Watanabe as Commander Dot Pixis, the film blends large-scale action with psychological drama.
The movie will adapt key storylines from the first season of the anime, including the fall of Wall Maria and the revelation of Eren’s Titan-shifting powers. Practical effects, towering CGI Titans, and sweeping battle scenes promise a cinematic experience unlike any other.
Attack on Titan: The Movie is slated for global release on December 13, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
