The getaway is far from over. After years of speculation, the first concept trailer for Baby Driver 2 has hit the internet, teasing the stylish return of Ansel Elgort as the music-fueled wheelman “Baby”—now living under a new name and on the run from more than just the law.
Titled Baby Driver 2: Full Throttle, the film picks up several years after the events of the original, with Baby trying to live a quiet life under witness protection—until a violent new crime syndicate tracks him down and forces him back into the driver’s seat for one last impossible job.
Directed once again by Edgar Wright, the concept trailer is a fast-cut montage of car chases, pounding music beats, and gritty neon-soaked streets. The trailer kicks off with Baby donning his signature earbuds and a new playlist, saying: “If I’m driving again… I choose the song.”
Joining the returning cast:
-
Jon Bernthal as Griff, back from the dead and thirsting for revenge
-
Lily James as Debora, now caught in the crossfire of Baby’s past
-
Rami Malek as the cryptic new villain known only as “Maestro,” who uses sound as a weapon
-
Cameo appearances teased from Jamie Foxx in flashback form
The trailer’s soundtrack includes a gritty remix of The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter”, perfectly synced to tire screeches, slow-motion gunfire, and a spiraling heist gone wrong.
Fans are already hyped online, calling it “John Wick meets La La Land on wheels,” with #BabyDriver2 and #FullThrottle trending across social media.
Though labeled as a Concept Trailer, insiders suggest pre-production is in motion and a 2026 summer release is being eyed.
