The Young and the Restless’ Roger Howarth & Michelle Stafford’s Characters Paired Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Roger Howarth and Michelle Stafford’s (Phyllis Summers) characters may be paired up. Will Phyllis get a messy new love story and delight fans in the process?

Michelle Stafford Celebrates Roger Howarth and Tamara Braun Joining The Young and The Restless

Many viewers have been waiting for Phyllis to get a real romance instead of chasing business dreams that never seem to work out.

Phyllis spends her days scheming, but she never ends up with much to show for it!

Of course, it’s possible that Phyllis’ connection to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) could go from professional to personal, but they arguably don’t have any romantic chemistry.

Besides, Cane is stuck on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), so Phyllis is never going to matter as much to him as his former flames does.

It’s fine for Phyllis to have this alliance with Cane, but there’s more to life than just power and what they can accomplish.

Phyllis needs to find some happiness in other ways, so maybe a proper love story could be in her future.

Young and the Restless': Michelle Stafford Reacts to Roger Howarth Casting, Teases 'Surprises'

On Instagram, Michelle Stafford has expressed excitement about the show’s addition of Roger Howarth, who’s set to debut in a mystery role this fall.

Since Howarth and Stafford were paired up when they portrayed Franco Baldwin and Nina Reeves on General Hospital, Y&R might want to take advantage of their chemistry.

Howarth will be playing “a mysterious stranger…whose sudden presence raises more questions than answers” according to the CBS soap’s 36th season press release.

It’s possible that Howarth’s character is someone brand-new to the canvas, but it’s suspicious that his name has been withheld so far.

That makes it seem like the show’s trying to hide who Howarth is portraying, so the stranger could be revealed as someone familiar to fans.

The idea of Howarth playing a Tucker McCall (last played by Trevor St. John) recast still seems like a good option.

Whatever the case, Howarth’s character will be part of a major story arc happening in Los Angeles involving Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).

However, it’s possible Howarth’s character could ultimately head back to Genoa City, where single Phyllis could find herself drawn into this potential bad boy’s next mess.

Howarth’s LA story could simply be used to jumpstart things – much like Cane’s Aristotle Dumas reveal in Nice paved the way for his GC return.

It’d be great to see Roger Howarth and Michelle Stafford working closely together again, so stick with us for updates on whether these GH alums will be paired up on Y&R next.
