Alexander Isak Reveals Why He Chose Liverpool Over European Giants Amid Record-Breaking Transfer Window đź”´âš˝

Liverpool’s explosive summer continues to dominate headlines as Swedish striker Alexander Isak officially confirmed his decision to join the Premier League champions, revealing the driving force behind the move.

Following the record-breaking signing of Florian Wirtz for £127 million from Bayer Leverkusen and the earlier arrival of Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool have now secured one of Europe’s hottest attacking prospects, Alexander Isak — despite stiff competition from Arsenal and Barcelona.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the news broke, Isak said: 🗣️ “It wasn’t a hard choice. The ambition Liverpool showed, the way they play football, and the chance to work under Arne Slot — it all made sense to me. I want to win titles, and this is the place to do it.”

Isak enjoyed a phenomenal season at Newcastle United, scoring 26 goals and providing 6 assists in 42 matches. His form made him one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. But Liverpool’s persistence — and willingness to pay over £150 million if necessary — ultimately swayed both club and player.

🔴 According to sources close to the deal, Liverpool believe Isak is the final piece in their new attacking puzzle. His arrival could mean the departure of Darwin Núñez, who is currently linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Luis Díaz, Harvey Elliott, and Diogo Jota are also rumored to be on the transfer list, as Liverpool aim to reshape their front line to Slot’s vision.

Isak added: 🗣️ “Playing at Anfield has always been a dream. I’ve watched their fans, their energy, and I imagined myself there. Now it’s real. I can’t wait to get started.”

With Milos Kerkez also set to join the Reds from Bournemouth in the coming days, Liverpool’s total summer spending could surpass £300 million, signaling the start of a bold new era under Arne Slot.
