The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Matt Clark aka “Mitch Bacall” (Roger Howarth) may be arrested and thrown in jail, but the Newman horror isn’t over yet. Matt is a snake who’ll slither out of his Los Angeles jam and ultimately make a terrifying Genoa City return.
Y&R fans know Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is beyond fed up with Matt at this point.
This guy just keeps coming back, so Nick wants to make sure Matt is neutralized permanently this time.
Nick would prefer to see Matt six feet under, but he may have to settle for watching him get hauled away in handcuffs.
Even if Matt doesn’t go down for his past crimes, “Mitch” could go down for the drug bust that Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and Detective Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) are planning.

If “Mitch” gets locked up over the large fentanyl operation he’s apparently been running, Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) may consider that a win.
Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will thankfully make it out of their captivity crisis alive, so that’s good news.
Sienna will eventually join Noah, Sharon and Nick back in LA, so they’ll all presumably think they’re putting Matt aka “Mitch” behind them.
It’d be silly for Y&R to do yet another fake demise for Matt, so having him arrested makes more sense.
However, prison walls may not be able to hold Matt for long!
Matt could pull off an escape or maybe even wiggle out of the charges against him in the end.

It’s clear that Matt is one slippery character who’s capable of anything, so a brief stint in jail won’t do much to stop him from continuing his Newman vendetta.
If Matt is indeed on the verge of an arrest and prison escape story, you can bet the Newmans will be blindsided all over again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Matt will prove he’s relentless when he shows back up in Genoa City, so stay tuned for updates on the Newman family’s next crisis.
